Based on the book, Essential Pranayama: Breathing Techniques for Balance, Healing, and Peace this 12-week course will give you an introduction to breathwork, its benefits and effects, and ten different breathing techniques! Led by the author, Jerry Givens, and seasoned yoga teacher and coach, Val Aerni, this live online course will focus on how to use pranayama to regulate your nervous system and create a happier and healthier life.

This course is perfect for both beginners and seasoned practitioners. In our weekly meetings, you'll receive a new pranayama technique to practice for the week, have space to ask questions, and be in community with other like-minded practitioners. Each meeting is recorded so that you can revisit the guided practices week after week.

What: In addition to weekly live sessions, you'll have access to an online learning center to access past session recordings, a pranayama workbook, a private Facebook group, and additional resources to hone your practice.

Jerry Givens is the author of Essential Pranayama: Breathing Techniques for Balance, Healing, and Peace. He's taught yoga, pranayama, and meditation since 2008 and trained with senior teachers all over the world. 

Valerie Aerni_edited.jpg

Val Aerni discovered yoga in 2004 to manage anxiety. In 2014 she received her 200 hour yoga teacher certification and is a trained in prenatal yoga , yin yoga, yoga Nidra, and trauma-informed yoga. She is passionate about helping others to work through anxiety using the tools of yoga asana, breath work, and meditation.
