Mindful Writing

This free-writing practice is a great way to bring awareness to and organize your thoughts and feelings. You can gain a clearer understanding of your mental blocks and move past limiting mindsets. The goal of this experience is to let the words flow out so that they can be witnessed from a compassionate place.

In this experience, you will be led through a brief mindfulness meditation where you will be given a writing prompt. You'll then have 15 minutes to write freely on the topic, unstopped.

What you will gain:

  • New perspectives on your thoughts and feelings

  • Nervous system regulation through meditation

  • A free writing framework to practice on your own

Prompt Ideas

In this practice, you'll be invited to choose your own writing prompt. Your prompt can be anything, including an inspiring word or phrase, a current resolution, or aspiration. Literally anything can be a prompt for this exercise. With that said, the list below includes general options that are great for anyone to use. Try to think of any multiple connotations for your prompt. For example, "Space" could be space and time, your personal space, or even outer space.
