Wellness Classes

Below is a menu of corporate and workplace wellness experiential classes that are great for regular weekly, biweekly, and monthly programming, as well as one-off classes.

Most of these classes can be lengthened or shortened to meet your needs.

No prior experience necessary for any of these sessions.

Experiential Wellness Classes

Guided Meditation Sessions 

(15-30 minutes)

 

Adding Meditation to your wellness program will help your associates manage their stress, increase productivity, and find peace of mind. Jerry will guide participants through a series of exercises to help them calm their minds and focus. Even the most wandering of minds will find peace through his guidance. Longer sessions also include some seated light stretching. (more info)

Yoga Classes (all levels)

(30-90 minutes)

 

Adding yoga classes to your wellness program will help your team to unwind and manage stress, all while supporting their physical wellness. Jerry's careful training and modifications will make yoga postures accessible to everyone, no matter their skill level.

Office Chair Yoga Classes

(30-60 minutes)

 

Limitations to yoga classes in the office include: 1) having space and 2) changing clothes. Jerry has adapted a style of yoga practice that allows participants to stay in their normal clothes and still get the effects of a regular yoga class, all from the comfort of an office chair. This class is easily done at your desk and can fit into anyone's lunch hour.

Stand & Stretch Break

(15 minutes)

 

Take a quick break from your seat to Stand & Stretch! This guided stretching session will help wake you up, improve your mood, release tension in your body, and counteract the physiological effects of sitting. These yoga-informed practices are tools for you to use in your daily life to support your wellness journey. No special clothing, equipment, or experience required.

Breathing Techniques to Manage Stress

(15-30 minutes)

 

Similar to guided meditation, these sessions lead your team through different breathing techniques from the yoga tradition to create certain lasting effects on their bodies, nervous systems, and minds. Many of these techniques have been published in Jerry's new book, Essential Pranayama: Breathing Techniques for Balance, Healing, and Peace, and are accessible to beginners.

Systematic Relaxation Sessions

(30-45 minutes)

 

Practiced laying down on a yoga mat (or blanket), Jerry helps to reprogram the accumulation of tension in the physical body and stress of the mind. These sessions are a journey into the deepest levels of relaxation while still remaining fully aware. Great for the midday slump or to recover energy during those intense deadlines.

Restorative Yoga @ Home Classes

(45-60 minutes)

 

Restorative Yoga is a passive form of yoga that helps to release the accumulation of tension in the body through long-held and supported postures. Using common items from around the house to support themselves with, participants will feel relaxed, restored, and refreshed after one of these sessions.

Mindful Writing Sessions

(30-45 minutes)

 

Mindfulness meditation and journaling is a great way to help bring clarity to the mind and to organize our thoughts. In this experience, participants will be led through a brief mindfulness meditation where they will be given a writing prompt. They'll then have time to write freely on the topic, unstopped. We'll end the session with a short discussion about the insights they gained and paths forward with that information.

Below is a series of wellness lectures and discussions that integrate yogic and mindfulness-based philosophies and practices, like compassion, focus, and inner calm, into everyday work life. These specialized talks include PowerPoint slides, group interactions, guided meditations, and Q&A.

(30-60 minutes)

 

In our busy and distracting world, it's easier than ever to get stressed out and burned out. Thankfully, there are healthy time-tested means, like Meditation, to manage and mitigate the effects of stress on your mind, body, and nervous system. In this talk, we'll discuss the neurological effects of stress, demystify Meditation, and learn how easy it is to bring Meditation techniques into your daily life. This "intro to meditation" talk features two-to-three different opportunities to practice meditation, proving to participants just how accessible this wellness practice can be.

Mindful Communication @ Work 

(45-60 minutes)

 

This talk looks into who we are "being" in our day to day interactions, including communication ethics to awareness of individual sensibilities (i.e. - introversion vs. extroversion) to ensure that what we say (and how we think) aligns with our personal core values. The goal of this talk is to give participants a new awareness and new language when it comes to self-accountability about how they communicate in the workplace (and life). This program is especially great for leaders who are looking for new ways to connect with their direct reports. (more info)

Mindfulness in Action @ Work

(45-60 minutes)

This talk looks into who we are "being" in our day to day interactions in relationship to our actions and how we show up, ensuring that our behaviors align with our personal core values and the concept of non-harming. The goal of this talk is to give participants a new awareness and new language when it comes to self-accountability about their behaviors in the workplace (and life), including mindful timing and how they can organize their schedules more mindfully. M@W: Unblocking Your Creativity 

(60-90 minutes)

 

Unblocking Your Creativity explores the Creative Process from a philosophical and psychological lens, using both Eastern and Western models of psychotherapeutic understanding. In this talk, we’ll answer the questions “What is the Creative Process?” “What is Creative Block?” “What are the obstacles to a creative mind?” and “How do we overcome these obstacles?” In addition to the didactic material, we’ll experience a meditation that will help participants to better understand the concepts introduced. M@W: Mindful Breathing to Regulate Stress

(30-60 minutes)

 

Based on Jerry’s book, Essential Pranayama: Breathing Techniques for Balance, Healing, and Peace, this talk and guided breathwork practice includes a breakdown of breathwork from the yogic perspective, taking into account biology, nervous system regulation, and the regulation of stress hormones. We’ll learn three different types of breathing techniques and their effects on your system.

Self-Leadership @ Work 

(60-90 minutes)

 

In this workshop, Jerry introduces a new way of looking at your mind where YOU become the leader of your mind, instead of being pulled and pushed by your reactivity and desires. You’ll learn that even when you’re less skillful, you’re still a good person. You will also become aware of an aspect of your consciousness that isn’t affected by the trials and tribulations of life and learn to identify more with that sense of Self. All of this awareness will help you to show up better for yourself, your coworkers, friends and family, and your career. (more info)

Busting Burnout @ Work 

(60-90 minutes)

 

In this workshop, Jerry explains burnout from the physiological and psychological level, helping folks to understand why we burnout, how to prevent it, and how to consciously recover when burnout has already set in. Two different written exercises will help attendees understand their own relationship to burnout and how to create a more harmonious life where burnout is less likely.
