Sense

SENSE

It only makes sense When you try not to think about it It only makes sense If you try hard to lose control

Part of you needs an explanation Part of you has to have everything spelled out in black and blue And I'm too wasted by the cycle of tug and pull And I'm erased from all the pain and inner turmoil

It only makes sense When you try not to think about it It only makes sense If you try hard to lose control It only makes sense if it doesn't make sense And it doesn't need to make sense to me

I know it's hard to see beyond the walls you've built I know it's hard to understand a life that you're not in But take my word I'm alive and well and here I thrive But take my word I'm so happy I heard the call and followed it

It only makes sense When you try not to think about it It only makes sense If you try hard to lose control It only makes sense if it doesn't make sense And it doesn't need to make sense to me

I come to a place where the tightness loosens up its grip and I come to a place where the light inside me will never dim And I'm surrounded by the grace I need to elevate And I'm surrounded by the fruits that I've yet to taste

It only makes sense When you try not to think about it It only makes sense If you try hard to lose control It only makes sense if it doesn't make sense

And it doesn't need to make sense to me

And it doesn't make sense to you But sense isn't what I need It doesn’t make sense to you But sense isn’t what’s freed me ---
