Based on the book, Essential Pranayama: Breathing Techniques for Balance, Healing, and Peace this Self-led course will give you an introduction to Pranayama (breathwork), its applications, its energetic effects, and several different techniques that you'll be able to practice time and time again!
If you've read the book, you've already been introduced to some of these concepts and techniques and here we'll refine that knowledge and your practice. If you haven't read the book, no worries as I'll break down concepts for you to learn as you go.

Meet your teacher...
Jerry Givens is a 500-hour certified teacher of Tantric Hatha Yoga and Meditation. He began practicing in 2006 and has been teaching since 2008. His teachings focus on balancing energy in the body and mind through the scientific sequencing of postures and breathwork. He is also the author of Essential Pranayama: Breathing Techniques for Balance, Healing, and Peace.
Jerry has studied primarily under the guidance of ParaYoga Senior Teacher Karina Ayn Mirsky, and has attended lectures, seminars, workshops, and retreats with Pandit Rajmani Tigunait, Yogarupa Rod Stryker, Kathryn Templeton, AYS, Kathy Ornish, Luna Ray, Ravi Singh, and Alanis Morissette. Jerry is also a Level 1 Internal Family Systems model of psychotherapy trained practitioner, inviting modern psychology into his understanding of yogic prinicples.
