INSPIRED ART

After college, I was left with dozens of mixed CDs for which I no longer had any use due to the advancement of digital music. In an effort to not discard these discs, I chose to recycle them into works of art, and in early 2012, I completed my first Disc Mosaic. Generally, my Disc Mosaics are inspired by my yoga practice or yoga philosophy, though that is not a requirement. I love to hear others' ideas and am always willing to do work on commission, with your vision in mind.

 

The original idea to create are using CDs came from the musician Imogen Heap, who used cut up CDs to create a backsplash behind her modern fireplace . I noticed this during one of her v-blogs during the writing of her 3rd album Ellipse and decided to give it a try. Now I've created mosaics big and small, some on boards and some on walls.
